Fees, Insurance, & FAQ

Opting out of insurance means patients can rest assured their privacy is protected, as their treatment details aren't subject to insurance company scrutiny.

Maintain Confidentiality & Autonomy

Without the pressure to meet insurance-imposed quotas or rush through sessions, I can devote ample time and attention to each individual, ensuring comprehensive care and lasting results.

Focus on Quality over Quantity

By not being tied to insurance constraints, I have the freedom to provide personalized treatment plans that best suit my patient's unique needs, without bureaucratic hurdles.

Flexibility for tailored care

Why Out of Network?

Without the paperwork and delays associated with insurance billing, clients can access timely care and start their journey towards recovery sooner.

Eliminate Red Tape & Delays

To figure out if your medical health insurance plan offers reimbursement for out-of-network nutrition services, call your insurance company and ask these questions:

  1. Does my plan cover out-of-network, outpatient nutrition services with a registered dietitian?
  2. Does my plan cover the following outpatient nutrition therapy (CPT) codes:  97802 (Medical Nutrition Therapy Assessment) or 97803 (Medical Nutrition Therapy Follow-Up)?

If the answer to those questions is 'yes,' ask the following questions as well:

  1. Do I need a referral?
  2. How much reimbursement will I receive for each session? (Will I receive a % of session fee back?)
  3. Is there a maximum amount insurance will reimburse me?
  4. Do I have a deductible to meet before I get reimbursement?

Be sure to take notes when you have this conversation and share the information with your dietitian to figure out the smoothest way to move forward with billing.

You May be reimbursed if yor plan includes out-of-network benefits

Will Insurance Reimburse Me?

Grace meets with clients in-person in her Morris County, NJ office. In-person sessions are generally preferred, but virtual sessions are also an option as needed!

do you work with clients in person?

Existing clients may visit the Client Portal to view account balance or make a payment online. Billing documents (invoices and super bills for insurance) are also permanently available through the Portal for clients to access any time. Clients can also opt to have autopay set up; autopay transactions are processed the evening of the session date.

Can I Pay Online?

Session fees are typically collected electronically the evening after the time of service. If paying by cash or check, these are collected at the time of service. Super Bills are provided for you to submit claims to your insurance company as needed.

A credit card is required to be on file to process any outstanding fees as needed.
